Meet The Team

Sahithi Solipuram is a South Indian writer, actor, comedian, and filmmaker based in Atlanta whose work explores identity, relationships, culture, and the complicated ways we become who we are.

As an actor, her film credits include What Girls Want, Night Before, and Happy Anniversary, along with the television miniseries Eden, Georgia. She is also a stand-up comedian and performs original material at shows across Atlanta.

The Re-Breakup marks Sahithi's filmmaking debut. She wrote, executive produced, co-directed, and stars in the film, guiding the project from its initial concept through post-production alongside her cast and crew.

Sahithi holds a bachelor's degree in Business Administration from Georgia Tech and brings a professional background in technology and strategy to her creative work. She is currently pursuing a master's degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling, further shaping her interest in human behavior, relationships, and healing.

Ian Michael Cox is an Atlanta based actor who works in film, television, and on stage. Most recently, he was seen as Charles Darnay (along with 8 other characters) in Claire F. Martin's A Tale of 2 Cities in the Hollins Playwrights Festival of New Works. Before that, he understudied two shows at the Theatrical Outfit in Atlanta, The Price, and the Steve Yockey world premier of Bleeding Hearts.

On camera, you can see him play Guy in Netflix's upcoming film Tis So Sweet across from Taraji P. Henson. He was so grateful to be a part of this project and always wants to thank his soon to be wife MacKenzie and their two children (cats) Cash and Aang for their unending support.

Malik Jabar Ali is a multihyphenate actor, director, and coach whose work spans theater, film, and television. On stage, he was most recently seen as Dez in Skeleton Crew by Dominique Morisseau and in the world premiere of Mitchelville by Aurin Squire at Lean Ensemble Theater.

His film credits include Somebody Loves You, The Detachment of Cornelius, and The Piano Lesson (Netflix). His television credits include Swagger (Apple TV) and Boardwalk Empire (HBO).

As a director, his film credits include The Re-Break Up, Colored Tags (BronzeLens Film Festival Official Selection), Rainbow Sun (Atlanta Film Festival Official Selection), and Conflict (Silver Telly Award winner). He recently directed Coping Mechanisms by Christina Wilson as part of Synchronicity Theatre's Stripped Bare series.

When not acting or directing, Malik coaches and trains actors at his Atlanta-based studio, Acts of Freedom, a vibrant creative community that has developed talent seen across major platforms and networks.

Sasha Green is a filmmaker, cinematographer, and visual effects artist whose work spans VFX, compositing, and independent film production. While he has worked on many of his own projects, The Re-Breakup is one of his first narrative projects as director of photography, bringing his visual effects background and cinematic eye to the film's naturalistic, character-driven style.

Gaurika is an actor, writer, and Bharatanatyam dancer who's passionate about emotionally driven storytelling. She's trained in Bharatanatyam, scene study, improv, screenwriting, and voice, all of which shape how she approaches performance and creative work.

Alongside her arts training, her engineering background brings a thoughtful, analytical lens to story, structure, behavior, and emotion — blending technical precision with creative expression.

An Atlanta-based actor and producer, Meisha brings dynamic story-first perspective and strong executive leadership to the screen. Her acting credits include starring as the lead in the television series Return of the Seers, as well as featured roles in the short film Vision Board and a national commercial for Positivity Alkaline Water.

Levering years of expertise leading high-performing corporate teams, she seamlessly bridges the gap between creative vision and logistical execution to spearhead this impactful, resonant short film.
